Explorare Modulare is conceived as an open, growing field of research. The work consists of modules of equal format (60 × 60 cm) that are created independently and can be freely combined. There is no fixed hanging, no prescribed order, and no closed system. Each constellation is a temporary setting within an ongoing process.

The individual modules examine different formal systems that stand alongside one another, can be compared, and enter into changing relationships. Across multiple generations, these systems are expanded and varied: from pyramidal base forms to new size and triangle constellations, to centered circular structures and later calm stripe and gradient systems. Explorare Modulare thus serves as an experimental framework in which formal orders are tested, juxtaposed, and further developed.
